Spring Changes
The Council has recently gone through some changes. Please join us in welcoming two new members to the National Council! Caleb Finch is our new Vice President of Internal Affairs, and Chris Sapp is our new Vice President of External Affairs! Both men have previous Council and Board experience, and we know they will continue their excellence in their new roles!

Spring Conference Updates on Education
For those of you who were at Spring Conference hosted by Xi chapter in February, we are still seeking your input on changes and updates to the National Education Manual. As you will recall, there was an informative session of idea-sharing and dialogue between chapters. We encourage this conversation to continue, leading up to a revised edition of the manual to be ready for distribution at ADG's National Convention in St. Louis this August. For more information, please contact Caleb Finch and Justin Wetterer.

An Early Easter
Can you remember the last time Easter was this early in the year? It does not happen often, but there is a great opportunity for chapters this semester! Rather than the typical last-minute scrambling for reports and other documents, we have all of April and parts of March and May to relax, focus on studies, and finish the Spring Chapter Report on time and without undue stress. If you have any questions on this report or how to fill it out, please contact Caleb Finch.

Online Renovations
The ADG website is getting a major overhaul. After scouting for volunteers to help develop content and design, John Koehler and the web teams are off and running in creating a new and improved online experience. If you are still interested in lending your talents to the team please e-mail John to sign up!

Convention 2008: Ready to Go!
The 77th Annual Convention hosted by Beta chapter in St. Louis, MO is practically underway! Convention steward Derrick Cabrera has already sent out the Registration form through the listserv. In case you did not receive your copy yet, you can find it by clicking here . After all, it's never too early to plan your family reunion! www.AdgConvention.com

Message from the Council

Dear Brothers,

I will never forget my love for my own Chapter - but the love of my Fraternity is nationwide.

Judge Ben Aranda was a Past National President and someone who spoke at my second Convention in 1997. He said something along the lines of, "No matter what sort of time you had at Convention - even if you spent the entire week in bed sick - you will return to your Chapter and say how amazing Convention was." His message was clear to me. Opening yourself to this dimension of ADG life is something that every member must experience.

Brothers, do not limit yourself to the boundaries of your respective campuses. The idea of being a member of this National Organization becomes clearer and focused when you attend a National event or when you visit another Chapter of our Fraternity.

You will make new friends. You will learn more about the Fraternity. And you will gain a better understanding of the Brotherhood of ADG.

Go up to a member that you’ve never met and simply shake hands. Immediately, the ADG handshake gives you an understanding that this man is a friend and Brother of yours. This connection to each other across campus boundaries is what makes ADG what we are today - a nationwide network of True Brotherhood you know you can count on. We come together as a Fraternity several times a year - not just for the business of our Chapters and the National - but more so because we want to renew or begin the ties of friendship and to support one another in a mutual exchange of ideas and practices.

Brothers, there is no better way to fully experience the Fraternity than to visit other Chapters or to attend a National event. If you have never participated in anything like that, you are limiting the potential of your membership. Be adventurous! Road trip with your Chapter Brothers to other Chapters, Conventions, or Conferences. Have fun and be an Alphadelt for what we are - a Brotherhood with no boundaries!

City Walled,
Derrick “Mr. Fugi” Cabrera
Immediate Past National President
