Text Box: # Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: In an on-going challenge of keeping up contact with our Chapters, the National Convention voted to implement a Board of Governors to help with such a task. The Board of Governors consists of an Alum member at every Chapter who is assigned various duties. The By-laws section that was the Regional Directors now reads as follows: Section 1133: National Board of Governors: Each member shall implement those functions assigned to him by the National Executive Council. Text Box: He shall be the direct liaison between National and said Chapter He shall attend at least one scheduled chapter meeting each month of the academic year. The scheduled chapter meeting occurs when week-to-week chapter protcol is discussed. It does not include special meetings such as candidate events, chapter Executive Board meetings or impromptu gatherings of the chapter. He shall be authorized to implement National Programs and Ritual including the Water and Wine Ceremony – Official National I duction – for the chapter to which he is assigned. The most important aspect of the Board of Governors is the fact that National Representation is now just at your doorstep. Not only can we better hear and understand the needs of our Chapters, the Chapters can better hear and understand the needs of the National Council.
