Tommie Kendall

Tommie Kendall has more than 12 years of nonprofit experience and currently serves as the CEO/National Director of the Dream Factory, a national children’s wish-granting organization. Led by Tommie, the Dream Factory prides itself on the following facts: (1) All local chapters are 100 volunteers and have their own boards. (2) Dreams are granted to children with life-threatening and chronic conditions. (3) More than 95% of donations go directly to the mission. (4) The record of success is evident by 13 consecutive years of a perfect 4-star rating by Charity Navigator, a feat attained by only 5% of charities evaluated.

 

Tommie oversees the National Headquarters in Louisville, KY and 31 current chapters spread across the country. He has the goals to expand into 8-12 new areas within the next 18-24 months and to increase the number of dreams from 211 last year to 365 annually within the next 3-5 years, granting one dream each day.

Tommie graduated from the University of Cumberlands in 2004 and later earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Western Kentucky University in 2023. Previously, Tommie served as the Director of Program Services at the Dream Factory’s National Headquarters before stepping into the role as CEO/National Director in October 2024.

Tommie is married to Ana; they have 3 boys and 3 girls.
