Joshua Hughlett
National Moderator
Joshua Hughlett brings both passion and purpose to his role as National Spiritual Moderator of Alpha Delta Gamma, a position he assumed earlier this year with deep commitment to the fraternity's values. An alumnus of the Alpha Eta Chapter at McKendree University, Joshua's journey with ADG began when he pledged in Fall 2014, quickly establishing himself as a natural leader. His dedication was evident as he served an impressive two-year term as Chapter President from Spring 2015 through Spring 2017, guiding his brothers with wisdom and vision.
Joshua's outstanding contributions to ADG were nationally recognized in 2017 when he was honored as Alpha Delt of the Year at the fraternity's convention in St. Louis—a testament to his exemplary character and service. Today, he continues to embody the fraternity's ideals in both his professional and personal life. Residing in Lebanon, IL with his wife Kierra, Joshua serves his country as a Traffic Management Specialist at Scott Air Force Base, where he plays a vital role in the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC).
Balancing his career with academic pursuits, Joshua is furthering his calling in ministry as a part-time graduate student at Liberty University. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling with an emphasis in Chaplaincy, set to graduate in May 2025. This advanced education reflects his lifelong dedication to spiritual guidance and service—qualities he now brings to his national role fostering ADG's spiritual growth.
Beyond his professional and academic commitments, Joshua remains deeply engaged in his community. He actively serves in his local church as a small group leader for youth and young adults, mentoring the next generation with the same brotherly care he once showed his ADG chapter. In his leisure time, Joshua enjoys staying active through pickleball and cherishing moments of fellowship with friends—embracing the fraternity's emphasis on balanced living through its Five S's: Service, Scholarship, Social, School Spirit, and Spiritual growth.
As National Spiritual Moderator, Hughlett stands as both a leader and living example of ADG's highest ideals. His journey—from chapter president to military professional to graduate theologian—demonstrates how the fraternity's lessons extend far beyond campus life. Whether guiding young brothers or preparing for chaplaincy, Joshua's life echoes the truth of ADG's founding principles: that brotherhood, once forged, becomes a lifelong foundation of purpose.
