The Golden Torch Shines Bright

Alpha Delta Gamma National Fraternity is proud to announce the official launch of the Golden Torch Society, now live on the national fraternity website. This new initiative represents a significant step forward in recognizing and elevating the academic, professional, and scholarly achievements of our brotherhood.

The Golden Torch Society was created to formally honor brothers who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, and lifelong learning. It serves as a visible commitment to one of Alpha Delta Gamma’s core values: scholarship. Through this society, the fraternity now has a permanent, national platform to celebrate those who set the standard both inside and outside the classroom.

The Golden Torch Society was created and developed by National Executive Vice President DeMarcus Formbly, whose vision was to ensure that the intellectual and professional accomplishments of Alpha Delta Gamma brothers are recognized with the same pride as service, leadership, and fraternal involvement. Under his leadership, the society was designed not only as an honor, but as a cultural statement about who Alpha Delta Gamma is and who it continues to produce.

“Alpha Delta Gamma has always had scholars among its ranks,” Formbly noted. “The Golden Torch Society ensures that their work, discipline, and achievements are no longer invisible. This is about honoring excellence and inspiring it in the next generation.”

The national website now features a dedicated Golden Torch Society page that will serve as a growing archive of recognized brothers. Members who have earned academic honors, advanced degrees, professional certifications, or other significant scholarly achievements are encouraged to submit their information for inclusion. Once approved, recognitions will be displayed as part of the society’s official national record.

Beyond recognition, the Golden Torch Society strengthens the fraternity’s academic identity and reinforces Alpha Delta Gamma’s commitment to developing men who lead with knowledge, integrity, and purpose. It also provides inspiration to active members, candidates, and future brothers by highlighting what is possible through dedication and discipline.
